Finally! it took some time, but I got it!
I got my first car last week, but I've been too lazy to post.
Long story short: Car sat in a barn 16 years, barn gets sold, car needs to go.
It needed a new fuel pump, and me and my father are not so technical, so the owner wanted to replace it for us.
Car ran and runs great!
It passed inspection a few days ago, and it needed:
2x new lights in the front
4x tires, old ones were square.
timing belt, just in case.
rear brake line
Behold: My 86' Toyota Celica ST Coupe!
One tiny problem: I don't have my license yet..

Remember: It's only illegal if you get caught.

Congratulations! After being a young, non-driving enthusiast for several years, I remember how excited I was when I got my first car. You can start on the rest of your automotive bucket list now!

And it's a hachiroku! Legit.

Words to live by right there. I remember driving every once in a while with my friends when I was 14 (I was an idiot) and I got caught when I was 16 before I had my license. Not any legal trouble but my parents sure were pissed!

Nice car, I don't think I've ever seen T160 coupe irl. Just curious, how long does driving school last in Netherlands?

That's a great car! Usually I'm not much of a fan of Japanese cars, but I like this one. Good find. Are you planning on keeping it stock (please do) or are you going to modify it?
One question: when/where was this picture taken? Not in 2014 in the Netherlands, right?

As long as you want it to last. A very intensive 10 days or a very unintensive half a year. At least that was how it was when I became old enough (18) in 2001.

This was in 2014, last week or so...
Are you referring to the gas prices?
The car was close to the Belgium border, so we took a little trip to get some cheaper gas..
I think I'll keep it stock, I do not know what there is to make this car better.
It isn't really stock, there is a bodykit on it, (spoiler, sideskirt and bumpers)
That was done even before the previous owner bought it..

I am 16, almost 17, and will take my theoretical exam in a month or so, and I do already take driving lessons.
I'm so glad they lowered the legal driving age..

Grats, choice find! The coupe, that's pretty rare.
That gen Celica is, like all Toyota products of that era, pretty bulletproof.
And obviously theres a generous aftermarket to restomod it.

You're right, I was referring to the gas prices. The LPG prices to be more exact, €0.599 is a whopping 20% cheaper than at the cheap pumps here (€0.75). Please excuse me while I count to ten while I vent my rage about illogical, short sighted and downright stupid governmental policy.
Anyway, you're probably right about the stock part too. It still looks period-correct though and I don't see any The Fast and the Furious influence. Which is a very good thing.

I've seen it is pretty rare, there is only one more for sale in the country, (that I could find), and it was in the same condition as this one, and they were asking almost 3 or 4 times as much than I paid for this car..
If there is a generous aftermarket for this car, could you say where? I have searched, but I could not find anything for this car..

I have zero knowledge of European fuel costs, but I know that's a '13 or '14 Ram 1500 in the background. It's always weird seeing exported North American vehicles, even though they seem to be more common than they were 10 or 20 years ago.

No? I just assumed that any 80's Toyota would have some kind of following, somewhere, and that there are many parts interchangeable between cars.
Fellow Oppo MR2_FTW , he of the Cressida wagon rebuild, can probably direct you further.

Sweet! One thing. Is your hood closed or is it just on the safety latch?

My mom had one of these. It was made for the German domestic market; the original owner had it imported over here when he moved to the States and then my mom bought it from him after a fender bender. All the stickers under the hood were a combination of Japanese and German; it was one of the few front wheel drive cars my family really liked. Unfortunately a Chevy Nova pulled out in from of my mom one day and she rolled the car over a guard rail trying to swerve out of the way. She walked out without a scratch, but the car was destroyed. :(
